Vintage watch magazine. What’s the oldest one you own?
Hi all,
Few months ago, during a major spring cleaning, my mother in law found this neo vintage French watch magazine from December 1991 in perfect condition.
Almost 26 years old and #2. 35 French francs at that time equal to EUR 8 today (taking account of inflation). I was only 14 years old at that time so it’s cool for me to read it today .
Do you have something similar (and if possible older) in your bookcases?

I have some Orologi magazines from the 80s that I found at Libreria Acqua Alta in Venice.

I didn’t know that Orologi was only started in 1987. Watch magazines have been around for as long as I’ve been interested in watches, and I assumed they’d all been around for much longer. I just noticed WatchTime was only started in 1999. Very interesting...

It’s always difficult to compare watch prices at different periods as we should have exactly the same model as a reference.
But, regarding the examples you gave us, watch prices have obviously increased more significantly than inflation. Inflation rates over the last 25 years are as following : +43% in France, +76% in the US and only +18% in Switzerland. Best wishes Alkiro
