Visiting my son in Medellin, Colombia
My son recently moved to Medellin and I paid him a visit. My first time to the city, second visit to the country.
Breaking through the clouds, you see the mountainous terrain of the city.
It's a beautiful setting even on a cloudy day.
After a horribly long delay through immigration at the airport, finally got checked in and cleaned up for dinner.
We Ubered to Provenza, a tourist district with restaurants and night life. It was early by Colombian standards, so the place was only warming up.
Appetizer, shredded beef in a pastry shell.
Local cerveza.
Dinner is served. Very tasty sirloin,chicken and fried rice. Not gourmet, but tasty and satisfying to a hungry traveler.
It was an early night, which is how I like all my nights 
It will be a light few days on the Parmigiani forum as I spend time here with my son.

Medellin sits in a beautiful valley. It's rugged and semi-jungle, semi-forested.
A few things for sure: the temperature is ideal year round (70F +/-), the city has a nice vibe, and the cost of living is low. There are 2 million people in the city and 6 milllion in the valley. Don't plan on walking anywhere in Medellin. The roads are s...

High altitude and unbelievably steep roads. There's not a flat sidewalk in the whole city. This is not a city for taking long walks :-)
