Wife went out for lunch; I am on my own

 

with three kinds of bacon (this is not by my choice; the neighbor brought them over in exchange for bread I bake for them).

So I start with a fresh loaf, from last night's baking.



Slice it up. And slice up a big tomato and salt/pepper a couple slices.



I fried up some thick-sliced bacon because 3 slices were all that was left in the package. I wasn't paying close attention and its a little overdone, but not burnt.



Bread toasted, mayo on one side, catsup on the other with the tomato



OK, here we go -- the manly lunch featuring Classic Car magazine, drink, guacamole, chips, BLT sandwich!



Made it half-way through without even denting the drink!



Three car restoration articles and my plate is empty. :-(



Now back to my chores, making olive breadsticks for a gathering tonight. Let me know if you want to see how they turned out.
