Your thoughts on the Gronefeld Remontoire...
A week ago,together with some wis' friends,we were able to meet the Gronefeld brothers,Tim and Bart. We had the opportunity to have a close look at their horological works of art.
Which got me into a dilemma...I'm on the fence in acquiring a Gronefeld Remontoire...thus I need your insights. Should I pull the trigger on one? And which one will be a better choice...should I pick the Salmon dial or the Kari Voutilainen engine turned dial? Thanks in advance...

Great looking watch, whichever version you opt for.
Is the extra €12-13K a big hit to you financially? If not really, and assuming it’s your first watch with guilloché (presumes you don’t have at least a RO or VCO 2nd Gen) then it may be worth going for it.
They both are appealing...
the cost though is a concern if I opt for the more expensive option.

the work on the movement is one of the best I have seen. Hopefully I can reach a decision on what dial to pair it with if I decide to go through with the acquisition.
It might be just a coincidence
but one of my current predicaments is similar to yours - a stainless steel Remontoire or a Voutilainen 2 Eight. The former is produced in 25 pieces while the latter in 10 pieces. The Remontoire to me represents excellent value for money for such a complex...

We do share the same sentiments regarding the remontoire with the bespoke KV dial. It's like having the best of both worlds.

If you can do it then i would pull the trigger . I have a weak spot for Salmon dails but that KV dail is also a piece of art on its own imho 👌🏻😘 . Hope to see some nice pics in the near future 🙏🏻

about the Salmon dial. When I first saw it a few years ago,I was smitten by it. The KV bespoke dial though is irresistibly beguiling...

It took me almost three hours looking at the different dials to make my decision to take the red one. So many interesting choices.
The red enamel, the salmon, the full blue non enamel, the rhodium, the black and orange. All great choices. The only one I didn't like that much was the blue/grey enamel.

I ordered mine before launch of KV dials
I prefer the simplicity of the original design. In the sun this dial is amazing. Since I own a KV I did not see the need to duplicate. Whatever your decision the watch is a killer. ...

The original dials are so pure and clean imo and the KV dials add another dimension to the dial. All are just stunning, just depends which speaks to you more. If I had to choose one today I would go with the WG case with the original black dial with orang...
