A little bit of renewed interest in Journe chronographs in recent weeks with the launch of the Tokyo anniversary edition.
One of the features of the original boutique anniversary Centigraphes which I always liked, and which was carried through to the new Tokyo edition, was the presence of the sapphire sub dials. Just like those in the CTS.
This little change on those anniversary editions in my mind changed considerably the aesthetic of the Centigraphe and (arguably) made it a better looking and more sporty watch. (Which were good things in my mind).
The CTS, whether it be aluminum or titanium, still remains to me the best execution of this watch. Followed closely by the Boutique editions.
Glad to own this one. It’s a watch that gets a lot of wrist time, and these last several years it has definitely been the Journe I have worn most.
