F.P. Journe

Realignment is a nice way to phrase it...

Some of the price increases are surprising, chiefly the rose gold and titanium LineSport pieces. Journe wants to capture the margin, rather than letting it go to grey and secondhand dealers. That makes sense, but customers are always going to be upset when prices are increased more than 50%. In some businesses, that type of increase is used to politely signal to the customer that you don't want to sell to them. Those who have been on waitlists for more than a year hoping to get a rose gold LineSport may see it that way.

These are emotional purchases, so a large price increase could lead to emotional reactions.

I haven't seriously thought about owning a Journe, since the days when you could find a secondhand Chronometre Bleu for around 20,000 USD.
