F.P. Journe

Some more comments

Ok, here's some more thoughts:

- You *may* have some difficulty reading the time on the Calendrier without your glasses; if you find the chronograph reading on the Patek difficult, it'll be the same for the Calendrier.

- You'll probably need to order a longer strap for the Journe, they're not much more generous than the Patek.

- Both the Calendrier and the Octa Automatique Lune have 5 day power reserves, but the Calendrier has no reserve indicator.

- Note that there is a difference between the "Octa Lune" and the "Octa Automatique Lune." The Octa Lune is the older moonphase watch, with the hours and minutes offset like the Calendrier. The Octa Automatique Lune has the larger hour and minute hands, the seconds hand on a subdial on the lower right, and the moonphase on the lower left.

- The Journe don't come standard with deployant buckles, except for some of the limited editions and the Sonnerie Souveraine, so you may want to order one as well. They also have an adjustable deployant buckle, where you can make the adjustment without having to remove the watch from your wrist.

I'll try to post photos of both watches side by side later this weekend.
