What superb education!
Many thanks for presenting technical features in such a clear language that even I - unfortunately lacking an understanding of the finer technical details - found it a highly enjoyable read. It also reminded me why I find nowadays most commercial watch magazines a waste of time to read, because this kind of educating articles is no longer to be found (admist all the reworded press releases...) there. Long live WatchProSite with such authors as you!

A quick remark - I wrote this purely off mechanical logic and some math, so I could be entirely wrong on the precision part. A watchmaker would be way more credible to verify that! In the case of the Piguet 1185, since it comes in both variants of monopus...
