How true that was,when i served an aged rioja recently,pleasantly surprised by the refulgent bouuet of strawberries and raspberries ,palate of layers of red fruit with resonable length.This from a very good vintage which i thought past its best as previous bottles had indicated..I would drink up this batch, not wait any longer.
It went well with the medium rare tenderloin
