41 mm Laureato anniversary 225 ref 81000
Apr 28, 2024,05:59 AM
Friends,
Happy Sunday ahead. ☀️
41 mm Laureato anniversary 225 ref 81000 Silver dial
The one that launched all the current production laureatos. But different from the current production models.
Limited Edition (yes a real one) which are individually numbered engraved on the caseback. Not “One of 188” etc as is the style today.
A collectors piece in the future IMHO.
Differences from the current production laureato 42 mm:
1. Case size
2. Movement
3. Thickness of case
4. Bracelet design
5. Clasp
6. Hands longer and thinner
7. GP Logo smaller
8. LE vs production
9. Polished bezel
10. White date wheel
11. Indices thinner

So I blush… I thank you more 🙏🏻☺️ I sometimes wonder if anyone cares about the “details” any more. Seems like it’s pretty much all based on looks and flex today. Change a dial color and folks get super excited 😆 Other pieces with massive provenance … bori...

38 mm. That’s also why I collect the laureato 8010 at 36 mm. The prices have gone up so much now though… €15,000++ now
WOW!!!

+1 smaller is better here😄
I like the 38 mm size as well

But the 41 also has a good feel. I’m “lucky” because I have the 36, 38, 40 (chrono), 41 and 42 mm. I got the 42 mm because at the time, it was close to impossible to find the 41 mm. And when ever advertised, the 41 mm was like €22,000 on the secondary mar...
Metallic tones

remind me a bit of old race cars or unpainted airplanes from the 50s & 60s. Tough choice between this one and the anthracite you posted the other day, I may have a small preference for the anthracite, would be nice to see them side by side when you ge...
Depends if you value heritage
By: SingaporeMarc : April 28th, 2024-06:39
If yes, then the 81000, 41 mm. Rare and important as it was the first of the complete redesign of the laureato. So it holds provenance as well. If completely based on looks then … it’s subjective. For me, provenance and heritage and rarity are big criteri...
Some pics to compare laureato sizes

The 41 mm thickness is the same as the 38 mm Notice how the bracelet for the 42 mm can break the lines from the case. The 41 mm retains end-link to case integrity and flow. 38 mm 41 mm Dial size of the 41 mm. Dial size if the 38 mm is 27 mm Dial size of t...
