thanks for showing yet another 7742 here in the forum and what a wonderful specimen you have. One question: is your buckle 14mm or 16mm? I also have a 14mm buckle but could not find a strap in 18/14 that I would remotely like for my watch. Best, CC

Are 18mm and the strap is a Hirsch Lyberty Nature. Greetings from Spain.

The letter after the 4 digit reference number refers to the batch the watch belongs to. I have now details about the different batches of the 7742, but the watch was in production between 1960 - 1968. Best Blomman

Hi Jes, the number is on the moverment and means: Caliber 11.09 The remaining numbers are just a serial numbering of the caliber. Best Regards, CC

Normal differance is that: GP put the movement together. GP decorate the movement. GP adjustment and balance wheel. Best Blomman

The watch has this: "The caliber do not have a ’stop-second’ mechanism. To synchronise, the crown should be gently turned backwards and pressure maintained to stop the seconds hand. Release when the display corresponds to the timing signal and push crown ...
