I am guessing, but it would be a cost issue to have to fabricate all the parts and scale down. Especially for a piece unique.
If they decide to add this to their Production line up then maybe. But I think they are unsure of the demand.
I see a cushion case re-issue to make much more sense as there will be a much broader range of demand. 38-40 mm. I believe it would be a hit. And a nice second watch for those who already have a laureato.

but needed to be slimmed down a tad to 42-43mm, perhaps a slither thinner and stainless steel option. GP never seem to push their designs or mechs which is such a shame as I think they offer incredible value.

A 40-42 mm should be quite doable. I wonder why they choose such a big case then 🤔 Let me try to ask a GP watch maker in our group.

The movement and hence the case had to be big. And the movement had to be big to be able to house the escapement and also the twin barrels.
