Girard Perregaux

Friends, The novelties from Girard-Perregaux for this year are not yet over! As one of the first to give you the news – even before the official press release: Girard-Perregaux Sea Hawk Beige, reference 49960! GP gave me the green light to post this watch...  

I have to see it in the real, to have a definitive feeling. With such a patina, I would maybe have preferred a smooth dial. I really have to see it in the flesh. So, the Blue remains my favorite, for the time being. Best, Nicolas

To complete the "Vintage feeling" Gp should have opted for a smooth dial... But to keep the modern technical look - the honey cake dial do the trick! :) Best, my friend Blomman

Love the grey bezel and the beige lume combo, really a killer, the best of all Sea Hawks right now for me. I would also like a rubber strap with it but the tan is also superb. PuristsPro rocks, we now go ahead of official releases ;) CC

The alligator strap is water resistant. Same as used on the Traveller. I must say that I like the alligator a lot on the Sea Hawk, makes it a bit "softer" and more elegant. Of course PuristSPro rocks! ;) Best, my friend Blomman

Design, the watch has a lot of personality but the ease of titanium, the light weight, the toughness of the metal and the color makes it very compelling. The Seahawk has a long and proud history of using titanium well before many other brands, they need t...

blomman My gut reaction for favourite is the Blue version but now I'm liking the Beige and tan strap combination because its Different from the usual. Dare I say that it is Beyond the Pale? Of course, very few people could pull off wearing the following c...

Thus, one might have to see that one in person. & on wrist, although I guess to predict the outcome, already now... What I sort of like, is the color concept of beige vs a bit faux Patina+ patina + bezel and the very nice strap in croc. - Other than that,... 

I think we can agree this one is not for you, doesn't matter in which color..... :( But no sorrows for that, there are so many other models from GP I can tempt you with! ;) Best Blomman

The only drawback I see with the entire Hawk line, both Chrono Hawk & Sea Hawk, is that black plastic layer the bezel sits into, it doesn't scream longevity to me, similarly the rubber coated crown. I would still happily wear both but it's a shame it ... 

Thank you for your input, Ian. I would not worry about the rubber on the bezel, is is special made to last! In that case I think the crown is (not easy but) easier to break the rubber on... But easier to replace as well. Best Blomman

On the other hand the total production number will probably be less than some other brand's "Limited" editions.... I don't think they will make more than maybe 500? This is a wild guess from my side, I have no production number on this one. But a Limited ...
