In an era of EGO watches...
one must have an horological solid pairs of .....to get this watch.
What can we say:its pure class,its art deco sober lines are just the epitomy of understatement,pure pure coolness.
I say it again:I don t like tourbillons much especially when they are in the front of the watch(dial with a hole....),I don t like auto tourbillons especially.But if you ask me what s my fav tourbillon,its no doubt GP golden bridges,and their declinations.....especially this bi-axial.
But this is one of those watches that are not categorizable,its a league of its own,its not a tourbillon,its not an automatic watch,its something else...what is it?I don t know but its something that makes me go weak....

Horologicaly highly complicated, aesthetically sober, this watch is a great opus.

Earlier today I said my favorite watch size was 38-42 mm
and now I have to change my specification to 45 mm by 18.5 mm. This watch is incredible. I cannot imagine how to get one of these, but I am watching "The Great Train Robbery" tonight to get ideas ... Cazalea

Typical design and nicely interpreted complication by GP which is maybe the most amazing with Greubel and Forsey for tourbillons. What a moment it must be on the wrist ! Thanks for sharing Francois

I believe elegance is to be found in simplicity (that word rings a bell) but this watch is for those who delight in (superfluous) complexity. The tourbillon was invented to compensate for the static balance errors in temperature compensated split balances...
You are of course right, but if we go this way...
A quartz watch is the only thing we would need... And I am not even sure we need a quartz watch, since our cell phone gives us the time, for free. ... Need... That is the question.... Is Poetry necessary? Is Art necessary? Some think it is futile, others ...

Poetry is a good analogy.
There are likely more succinct, and clearer ways to express one's thoughts than to put them into poetic verse, but there is an inherent beauty to poetic forms. The same goes for mechanical watches. If accurate and legible timekeeping are the ultimate goal...

Interesting piece
Very interesting, a bi-axial tourbillon. The tourbillon concept is quite interesting with 225 second full revolution. The style of the watch is quite interesting, it has a mix of Art Deco and Empire styles and overall it looks like a bank vault.
in the other video, the DLC version
looks much cooler than on paper, and i could almost see them making another version with sapphire bridges next to the shinny laureato! generally i dislike DLC or coating of any sort as i hate to see discoloration after daily wear/scratches, i luv all 3 bi...
