Newsflash: Girard Perregaux La Esmeralda Tourbillon " A Secret Eternity " Edition.
If you are a Girard Perregaux Fan, then you certainly know the Esmeralda, which was a sublime pocket watch born in the late 19th Century, then reissued as a wrist watch.
Here is the newborn, The " A Secret Eternity " which comes in a limited edition of 18 pieces in each color ( Blue, Grey and Green ).
Not too big, with a diameter of 43 mm, a bit thick, with a height of 15, 10 mm but you have to keep in mind that it comes with a hinged case back.
The case is made of white gold, hand engraved and enameled. The case back is enameled, too.
The movement is the well known Cal 9600, automatic, with its discreet and sublime micro rotor at 12 o' clock, with a good power reserve of 50 hours, beating at 21, 600 vph.
The finishing of the case and the movement is sublime. Still, I wonder if the presence of horses is a good thing... I think the classic tourbillon bridges are nice enough. Same for the case back, in my opinion.

The details of the case finishings:

The buckle is engraved, too.
Now the price... 508, 000 Euros...
What do you think of this new Esmeralda?
Best,
Nicolas
