Friends, on my visit to the manufacture last week, I had a chance to see and try on a Laureato from the previous generation, the Evo3 with large date and moon phase. Damn, I think I need another Laureato, I only have 5. Oops, does that make me sound like ...  

and I will take some fresh shots of the Richeville soon and do a review now that is is back from service.

The large date is perfect like the layout of the dial for me. The pattern of the dial is cool too even if it’s too close to a RO one in my opinion. Regarding the dial colour, I have a soft spot too for the grey one but I’m with you about the red date of t... 

the black for me is the least favourite, so not the best compromise So let's see. The big advantage of the white over the grey is that it is much easier to find. CC

and grey for evening function! But I make it also easy for you and say that this GP is a lovely, qiurky version of a Laureato and a wearthy member of your GP collection.

I would be happy with either one, but as said, I'm starting to develop a preference for the white.

Tempted, but I prefer the thinner bezel and clous de Paris dial of the latest generation. 😊 ...  

and of course, the new Laureato is a splendid choice. So is that a brand-new one still wrapped in plastic?

as most are either scratched or have been polished, so finding a NOS would be awesome.

Did you know the moonphase is not ratchet gear based but rather a continuous progressiong based on the unwinding of the mainspring barrel? Love it! Cheers, TM

the black ring can be found on all Evo3s. Not 100% sure of the material but should be rubber. Best, CC

Dear CC, very nice shot! I like the watch and I always hate to be negative, but if you want my honest/simple/novice (I'm just 27) opinion, is that looks like the infamous son of an AP roayal oak and the VC overseas . This said, tastes are tastes Cheers Fl... 

and frankly, if the GP would be as popular as the AP, then I wouldn't probably like it. As you said, tastes are different. One point though is important which is often overlooked. The GP Laureato dates back all the way to 1975 and in the 70s most brands h...

... but this doesn't stop me eyeing the white dial/red date one every now and then. I say go for it, even if it means delaying the acquisition of your 2018 target, I am sure you will not regret it!
