G'day,
here´s something we didn´t have a closer look at, but i think it´s a nice idea!
I do assume GP´s new reference 99720 "Jackpot Tourbillon", the show-stopper piece with integral slot-machine, is known to most of you:
But that´s not the only one!
As a part of the 2007 "Vintage TODAY" series of concept models combining an innovative look for the Vintage model range, there´s one i found to be a particularly nice match.
This model goes back to the "Kingsize" men´s model with steel case and GP´s manufacture-made movement. The official nomenclature is reference 25830-11-693-BA6A, but during earlier presentations it´s been nicknamed the "Baby Jackpot" more often.
And the reason might be obvious:
Well, this one doesn´t feature the stunning slot-machine function of it´s (much larger) brother.
But i think it´s a nice companion and the "Kingsize" models with their massive cases turned out to be choosen not only by men lately. Thus it´s a nice addition and a creative idea. If you have a close look, you may see the dial actually is finely brushed in the center; it´s not a "gimmick" or design only, but in fact it´s a very well made watch as with any GP!
And if one thing, presenting a "Baby Jackpot" to "she who must be obeyed" when bringing home the huge box of the ref. 99720 "Jackpot" might come handy
Greetings from Germany,
Peter
