I wonder if the 5080 was short lived. From looking at a couple of 5420s and 5080s maybe there was just a change to the subsecond dial? Is the number 99 on the case back a serial number possibly? I'd be interested to know the serial of your cal 91 and if there is a number on the interior of the case back of yours. Thanks for your info!
I actually bought this with several watches. I had a feeling it was unusual when I saw it, but I was not aware at all of its heritage until I spent some time researching it. I collect vintage watches, but this is only the second Girard Perregaux I have bought.

my movement is 91 BF 2105 numbered. Not sure what the "99" is, but I doubt it is a serial number. The inside of my caseback is not stamped. What's the other GP you have? Best, CC
