One complaint I have with the Regulator version is that on a real Regulator dial the the seconds display is on the top end of the dial for a reason, but on most wrist watch Regulator dials it is on the bottom (also for a reason). But it feels like cutting the corner.
The other thing that disturbs me with the Senator Regulator is that the dial layout reminds me too much of the overall layout of a 7750 chronograph. A movement that is lightyears away from a G.O. Cal. 58.
The Chronometer was born inspired by and as an hommage to the Ships Chronometers built in Glashütte for many decades. The Regulator always felt like a spinoff inspired by Marketing. I heard that it was/is a commercial success. Something not to be ignored lightly. But the real thing is this:
