Gold Chatons were used on initial runs of the Navigator
I have a Senator Navigator Panorama Date Cal. 100 which I purchased in early 2008. I subsequently exchanged the case back for a sapphire case back during a time when G.O. was offering owners that option. Reading older postings and photo essays on the Cal. 100 Senator Navigator, it seems that initial production runs of the Navigator did use gold chatons but that G.O. subsequently discontinued their use. It may be that your Navigator is of a more recent vintage.
Below are 2 photos of my Navigator, one with the Cal. 22 of my since-sold Senator Karree Manual Wind. I could be wrong but I think these photos shows gold chatons on both.
