Our Man in Glashütte doesn't have a hotline to Bienne, but . . .
. . . my understanding is that G O's solution is proprietary. I saw an article a few years back in Watchtime that outlined the differences between the various solutions offered by different manufacturers . . . Omega's implementation seems similar, but I don't know enough about it to say for certain that it's identical to Glashütte's. Omega is my other favorite manufacturer, but large dates are few and far between in their line-up; recently, they've moved towards the expanded aperture solution in some of their models that exhibits the leading and trailing dates as well as the current date, which I'm not particularly fond of . . . cordially, Art

It’s different. GO’s Panorama Date display is a true technical achievement in function and form, but a model with a different date display is maybe an option for those who don’t share our opinion. BTW, you said the Panorama Date display ...

Omega Date display
This is just a guess, but Omega might be part of the Swatch group umbrella along with Breguet, Blancpain, and of course, GO. Some of the proprietary date mechanisms might have been shared between companies.
It’s a possibility and a nice guess.
Still, they look a bit different regarding the curvature I’ve referred to. Maybe Our Man in Glashütte can help us. What about that, Art? Marcelo

IMO it's very pretty.
The Hand Date is a much more sedate character than any of the GO watches offering a Panorama Date. I appreciate the change of pace, and I LOVE the harmonious symmetry of the dial. Very classy! Cheers, Daos

try this watch yesterday. It is very nice and comfortable to wear. The size is small compared to Senator Calendar week.
I'm reminded of the Union Bergter Date
mob.watchprosite.com A shame that Union "disappeared" (effectively) - but perhaps this new variant of GOs is to fill that gap? I think I prefer the Bergter in this case
