Glashütte Original

The original silver-dialed version with a brushed case . .

. . . was my second G O, Yong. I was smitten then by the fusion of multiple complications with the symmetry of the dial design, and still find it compelling.

The reason for parting was to fund a third Karree perpetual. In retrospect, the cost was higher than I realized at the time because I hardly ever wear the rose gold perpetual, while I derived much enjoyment from the Senator power reserve. Your model offered a different perspective on the same basic design, with it's decidedly less formal grey dial counterbalanced by the fully polished case.

There were also Karree versions of this watch, which were even less common . . . I've only seen one in the metal many years ago, and recall one posted perhaps three years ago. Ultimately, it's a design that appeals more to those who tend to prefer complexity, or are budding collectors looking for their first complicated watch. It was a terrific value overall, in my humble opinion . . . cordially, Art
