Well, I went for the Cosmopolite, based upon the truly useful and well-executed complication.
Cosmopolite, stainless steel, white dial.
However, the Chronometer, in its regulator format, is still pretty high
on my "Want List", based largely upon the movement. I don't think you
can go wrong with either, provided the very large Cosmopolite works on
your wrist.

Senator Chronometer Regulator.
Oddly, I find the Cosmopolite more visually appealing in its two
stainless steel iterations. The gold ones with Roman numerals appear a
bit stuffy to me.

The Senator Chronometer is one of my favorite watches from GO.
Preferably with the blue dial ! The Cosmopolite would be too large for my wrist.

One more for the Chronometer for its more balanced look and attractive manual-wind movement.
The complications on the Cosmopolite would be a lot of fun to use and observe though!

Just makes me want to move this watch higher on my "Want List" - though in rose gold, I think.
Seconday market pricing seems to back these numbers up.
The Cosmopolite is now one of the greatest bargains on the pre-owend market. (So long as you're not treating it as an investment.)
The Chronometer for me.
While the Cosmopolite is a superb Travel Watch it is quite large. And it does not get more G.O. than the Chronometer. Maybe the PanoRetroGraph, but that’s a „once upon a time“ story. My guess for you is the Chronometer Best, mon ami, Martin

The Cosmopolite is serious heavy weight in the complicatuons department but in terms of sheer beauty and simplicity, loses out to the Chronometer.
