Thank you for the deeply thought and clearly crafted review.
That metallic slate-like dial is still mesmerising upon second look after the excitement of the launch.
I have been pondering about the see through case back. Whilst understanding your preference for a solid caseback (my preference too) when there is a mismatched small movement in a big case, requiring a subtantial movement spacer ring, I can also see some benefit for a clear back.
1) Some people don't mind the awkward movement spacer holder.
2) For some, the view of a cleanly finished, mechanical movement is preferable to offset any suggestion it was not mechanical....
3) It is a quick confirmation that the watch spring is wound and the balance wheel is moving, when there is no seconds hand. In the past, I would simply listen for the tick-tock sound but age-related hearing impairment requires alternate methods to be found!
