I couldn't agree more on the issues of making all our watches useless once we leave our mother Earth behind

(think that all of us have that much knowledge around here ... after all this is fora with most Doc's I ever seen MDs and PhD evenly I hope :0)

but wouldn't it been very convenient then to have some let's say perpetual calendar with us on that distant world

to show our future generations how thing were looking here with 7 days, 12 months, leap years and our dear moon

(minding that few watchmakers and service guy's managed to escape also)

Moreover point made by pplater Anthony and Dr.No before is good one ...... some of us

will go after sentiments ... not all of us obviously (LOL)

 

Once again let's leave this planet point (damn my big mouth) behind

and go for our ONLY ONE whatsoever reason might be (dooms day, thieves, bankruptcy, wife, etc)

I wrote Simplicity, I was thinking of only bringing my wife's watch, Lange Arkade. It's her favourite watch and it looks so good on her Simple watch for simple man Lovesss*CL

Possibilities: 1. Mercury: No moonphase, because mercury has no moon; should be a special alloy because temperatures fluctuate between _180 and + 420 °C, some sort of titanium will do. Mercury rotates in 58 days so there will be a lot of numbers on your d...
