Horological Meandering

I was going through a personal finance article via Zite yesterday. It dealt mainly with what ones financial priorities should be depending on the age bracket. So as you might expect, priorities were laid out for folks in their 30s, 40s and 50s. Most of us... 

In a nutshell, for me, only the independants can meet this kind of expectation. The journey, the repeated meeting of 2 people, each with their experience, preferences and sensibility, The joy and privilege of having something made for you. The long wait. ...

Is always the last one, but then temptation catches you for one more... then another... and maybe another... However, its back to the independent watchmaker and a relationship which could make the last one. I have been working with one true gentleman and ... 

but always remember his character, honesty - and pride in the work! The gentleman watchmaker making a watch for a gentleman - where does that lead us to? and never become misguided about "nice and humble". That is an expression that I have had to read tim... 

Or understand the way it works in real life behind the smoke and mirrors! Actually, I don't need to chase up as he is always in contact being a true humble and hard working gent. A masterpiece takes time but patience is not endless :). It will be worth it...

Let's say that you are ABSOLUTELY crazy, totally, deeply, extraodinarily in love with a Watch you want to own, but that this Watch will oblige you to sell ten of your watches, as it is a very, dementially expensive one. Let's imagine that in your top ten,... 

Your points are very interesting and thought provoking. I have to think about it. the one comment that i can make at this moment is that there may be no one true watch in each category. Having a series of one category is also a fascinating option. Also go... 

For example, the UN Sonata: I have an Alarm and a GMT, and a Big Date, One Watch in three: A Rolex GMT / A JLC Alarm / a JLC Septantieme, or a UN 160 Anniversary. Is this easy for me to move all my JLC Memovoxes / Rolex GMTs / and my Big Dates??? Hell, no...
