are you talking about the quick release pin that is sewn into the strap?
if you are, a lot of companies do them and they are great at quick release, but not securing as far as i am aware.

... clumsy you are. :-) If you change straps frequently and are concerned about scratching the lugs then the quick release straps are useful. I find them just as secure as a standard spring bar. One drawback is that the buckle end is not quick release, so...
