As an acknowledged pretentious git...
I keep looking for an excuse to wear one of my pocket watches. But I find they don't feed my pretensions when in my pocket. And pulling it out of my pocket (the pretentious part) uses the hand that I'm ostentatiously using to extract a fountain pen to sign, with the appropriate arabesque, a restaurant check.
But I keep waiting for the right moment.
