Its been around longer, unbroken in lineage, is more historically important, and has significantly more iterations that give each owner their own flavor.
And they wear much more svelte than a Reverso, even if you want a reversing feature.

Give me the Tank with Mesh, first. I will report my experiences after a year, then let me do the Reverso for another year. By then, I would be able the definitively report my impressions. 😉
Tank as it’s historical importance can not be overrated.
One of the most iconic watches ever. We are so used to seeing it, one may easily overlook the brilliance of its design like you may do with the datejust. Even if I really love the Reverso a lot Tank is level above.

I find it amusing that the tank has always been a dress watch, but the reverso (which has a similar look) was once considered a sports watch. 😂

JLC makes its own movements and has supplied other manufacturers for a long time. Cartier only much later manufactured its own movements. Clive
