Horological Meandering

You all know by now my passion for technical objects and i could not resist again. This time i am not talking about wheels or the object that ride on them... altough it shares the same titanium color than my alloys. At 46 mm it is quite big , wears comfor...

Very interesting case design. What exactly does the flip case do? - SJX

when you open , you can wind it adjust it and move the rotating bezel. I liked the combination of Ti and SS and the uncommon 12 o'clock crown position. It makes the Deep Sea look like a mini watch although I find the diameter to thickness less polarising ... 

I would imagine it is realtively light w/ the skeletonized case?

quite a clever design to lock the case protecting the crown at the same time. it makes a lot of sense. i really like the Porsche Indicator with the digital chronograph feature although its not as unique as they say, Breitling did it in 2001 with the Spati... 

Looked too gimicky, I was always interested by its technical hollow frame surrounding the case but the Porsche is much more "tool like". As for the Indicator and the Spatiograph it is the one that you cant forget that is worth the trip. I feel like you ab...

They are similar they radiate something completely different. I wanted the Eterna when it came out but holding it in my hand disapointed me, the PD was conving : less detailing, more machined, pure but certainly less refined, it is more industrial design ...

Fun new toy, and the color scheme does remind me very much of the older model titanium Aquatimer. It's a very attractive watch, but it does look quite large. It's probably a bit too big for me! Looks good on you, though! Cheers, Daos

If i had not worn a bentley breitling or a bell and ross i would probably find it exageredly big but it isquite balanced and much lighter than it sizes suggest. Cheers. Luc

but they will wear unnecessarily. And lets be honest how big is the percentage of diving time that the divers are offered. It is a small flaw for a watch that actually deserves more care for the clasp, It seems that it is not the same designer that took c...

I have to comment on my disapointment regarding the deployant, if it looks good from outside, the coating is delicate, the AD had to change it because they scratched it while adjusting (cutting) the strap. But more disapointing is the lack of precision, g...  

in red the disturbing thin edged small radii...  

IN my 2008 experience report on the Porsche Design P'6612 chronograph I already pointed out that the double folding clasp does not meet the watch's general quality level: www.watchprosite.com However, the clasp did not have those sharp edges and was rathe...  

Has been neglected. It seems that no one had fun doing it. The "wobbly" feeling is still there and is not in line with the watch ambitions. I will have the sharp corners smoothed and the clasp recoated afterwards. Thanks a lot for your input. Cheers. Luc

But it does sit nicely on your wrist. And I like the way that it can be semi detached from the rest of the case.

Than on the wrist. The only size witness being that the sleeve never covers the watch. The case inge is a highlight but even more the skeletton like construction of the titan frame. Best regards. Luc

Them as I am interested in your opinion. I have been interested since i read about the Kontiki andI would have probably bought it if the PD would have not existed. I share your opinion on the size, it does feel "right" and never oversized. I do not know w... 

Takuuya Yura of Mooncraft (cool company ) did a flip-up Chronograph for Seiko a few years back.
