The Steve McQueen Heuer Monaco was released in 1969 with the first automatic chronograph movement, caliber 11. The movement was the result of a collaboration between Heuer, Buren, Breitling and Dubuis-Dupraz. The last company deliverred the chronograph module that was mounted on a micro rotor movement.
The same caliber 11, also called Chronomatic, was used in the Heuer Autavia, Breitling Chronomatic and many other automatic chronograph in the seventies.

we have similar tastes my friend. Although I like the watch and the idea I also tried one (re-edition) but it also did not look right on my I used to own a Monza, but sold it as it seemed a tad small on me- I like bigger sport watches cheers

Another Great Heuer I would consider adding to my collection is the Carrera, the original model from 64 if I'm not wrong. This is a nice round case, with 2 counters, very sober and elegant, sized around 38 mm. Best, Nicolas
