I am guessing it is only a handful of models that commend such premiums. Within the industry as a whole that might be the equivalent of a few stocks going up in a bear market. A recent article in another publication reported that Swiss watch makers and retailers are turning bearish.

I have the feeling of all the prices are increasing. I really do appreciate JLC, I started collecting some in 2010. For the same amount back in those days I could have a pretty decent watch with a nice complication, now I can have a " simple" 3 hands.
I'm now appreciate vintage Rolex, look at the price? The 16710 is now between 2 and 3 time more than the last MSRP. BTW, what's the spirit of the Purist? Our fellow Raymond who own 3 out 6 is not a Purist?

I think not. Prices on Swatchgroup and Richemont brands generally go the more typical, and opposite, way.

Difficult for these prices to fall much, if at all. Unless there are sufficient supplies. I am not just talking about the watch companies supplying more, but also
how these watches are distributed. I have heard rumours that some AD's are stockpiling and waiting for the right time to release at maximum premiums. So it is no wonder that these watches are very hard to get and prices continue to rise because this.
My AD told me he can’t do this or even tried because Rolex has a constant information about his stocks
and won’t deliver for example à Daytona if the previous hasn’t been sold.
That should be the process, but I do not think that's true in all cases. Also it is not meant to be allowed for AD's to sell above the msrp, I knowthey do.
