As watch guys we all contemplate our next purchase. I want another pilots watch and am considering one of these two. Big price difference, but do I actually gain anything by opting for the higher priced option? Any big difference in case material, etc.? P...
The way I see it...
For an extra $3000+ you get: 1) Two more millemeters 2) A date 3) Less power reserve (42 vs. 80) 4) Automatic 5) A less unique looking watch

I have other watches but decided that the Hamilton was a useful addition to use in specific circumstances. The size is excellent and offers a lot of enjoyment without unnecessary fuss.

And I must say that the feeling of IWC steel case is better than the Hamilton.
On the other side Hamilton is light and you don’t feel it on your wrist as IWC.
I agree with this too
Agreed that the price-quality ratio is not great on the IWC but you mostly get a better case finish. The Hamilton feels a little flimsy but remains a great option
Timekeeping, maybe?
If you are the old-fashioned type who likes watches to be accurate, it is possible that IWC has an advantage.
I am not sure about that...
I've had dozens of IWC's with all kinds of movements and the most accurate of them all still deviated 10-15 seconds per day and that was not an in-house movement.
I would go for the Hamilton. Although i have an Iwc mk xv. 😁
