Horological Meandering

As watch guys we all contemplate our next purchase. I want another pilots watch and am considering one of these two. Big price difference, but do I actually gain anything by opting for the higher priced option? Any big difference in case material, etc.? P...

I have other watches but decided that the Hamilton was a useful addition to use in specific circumstances. The size is excellent and offers a lot of enjoyment without unnecessary fuss.

And then see how you feel about it. If it does not speak to you ( I have one and I think it is one of the best budget field watch options), then give the IWC a chance, of course it is a good one if you are looking for simple tool watch assuming price is n... 

On the other side Hamilton is light and you don’t feel it on your wrist as IWC.

Agreed that the price-quality ratio is not great on the IWC but you mostly get a better case finish. The Hamilton feels a little flimsy but remains a great option

If you are the old-fashioned type who likes watches to be accurate, it is possible that IWC has an advantage.

I've had dozens of IWC's with all kinds of movements and the most accurate of them all still deviated 10-15 seconds per day and that was not an in-house movement.

Bought in Singapore for my son. He prefers my old Air King. So i use this instead. Cheers. 🥃💨 Geross. ...  

And then later purchase the IWC Big Pilot 43. 😆
