Great post and one of my favourite watches...ever...
...for me it is a shame that zenith have gone away from this design philosophy.
but then again the world is big enough for everyones design tastes....the new ones are just not for me- however unlikely some other people I do not believe that should take away from the older designs, there are still what they were.

I own a Breguet Type XX, so have an eye for the simple black faced chrono design. I would buy this watch over anything in their current catalogue today. Though I have to admit I would prefer the prime model - I am currently fixated on manual wind watches....
