Horological Meandering

Another one of the Swatch Neon series, and a second in their 34mm case for me. In my opinion it’s plenty of watch. And as I get more and more disinterested in the higher end repetitiveness we are seeing month end month out over recent years it always refr...  

And the reality is, for many watches from the bigger brands the majority of the appeal is also design and colours !

There’s a lot of joy in these watches too. Minus all the baggage.

I have two of these Swatch, which are a lot of fun. I have several larger Swatch too with some colour and fun but the last few years I’ve been likely these smaller ones.

They also last, here's my skin yellow jelly from 2000! Enjoy wearing it Cheers JML ...  

The modern established brands have become unobtainable for most and exposure to high end horology on social media has ruined the joy of the “entry level” watch for most. Thankfully we still have these alternatives.

And Swatch has obviously always offered this route. I was more a Casio kid than a Swatch kid. But the same idea.

Mods…please look into this I think Jay has been taken to a Swatch “re education” camp. He’s going to come back looking like … 🥸🥸🥸 ...  

I’ve had this for maybe three years or so. Actually, I bought on the way to that meetup we had with Mr K Lo at in 2023. I will say I wear these Neon Swatch more than the MoonSwatch. ...

That tagline could also apply to many of the watches you own, that we overlap on. Habring, Seiko, Ming and others.

I think much of the disposable talk was around the Sistem 51, it being mechanical and not repairable should something happen. I own both, quartz and mechanical Swatch, and for a long time. All OK here too !
