Hermes straps do last a long time
My Hermes straps have proven to be very durable.
I've had my H-Hour for 8 years now and wore the watch almost daily for nearly 3 years with very few signs of wear-and-tear on the leather.
In comparison, the croco-strap on my Cartier Torteau from the Cartier Privee Collection started having cracks after almost 1 year of daily wearing.
Incidentally, the Cartier straps cost almost 2.5x more than the Hermes ones.
Would say Hermes straps are worth buying.
