Hierachy in Leather

A combination of chance and marketing has made the Birkin bag family THE gotta-have-it bag these days although the fashion police may say, "Make it stop!"
I noticed that even back in the day, with the four Hermes girls - there was a hierachy of leather. Only the two older girls had graduated to leather belts whereas the younger siblings were still aspirants..... 
I like the Dressage watch shape, a refreshing change from the usual and brand recognisable. It is like the Reverso for JLC or the BVLGARI-BVLGARI for....er....Bulgari.

Judging by recent auction results on Hermes bags, I would
say that the fashion police are (at best) ineffectual or more probably living in a cave in outer Mongolia. The bidding in the room was fierce and intense, and prices went above shop prices and in some cases, beyond the shop prices by an order of magnitude...
Without a doubt, Hermes has rich history for leather goods.
I find it very clever for Hermes to make the special strap to wear the pocket watch as wrist watch. However, I am not a fan for Hermes current watches, expecially the dial. Thankd for the report, Andrew. Regards Ling
