Horological Meandering

i'm not 100% convinced i want to buy a vintage GS even though

they are possibly the more collectable. i've been looking at seiko's in general and the new GS's are beautifully finished, but i've also noticed that the new spring drive's are also extremely well finished. i know that the movement has some electrics in it, but only in place of the escapement. it looks like seiko are raising their game dramatically. saw a new seiko prospex spring drive 600m dive watch which looks as good as any new GS and in fact as good as any Omega and Rolex of similar price.

ho humm, yet again i'm in a quandry. i know i should be snapping up the early GS chronometer, but i've just got rid of all my vintage pieces so it seems like a retrograde step.

no doubt i'll make some reckless decision shortly smile
