I got this Chrono a bit more than one year ago, and sold it a few months from now. This one was truly interesting, but I had to do some sacrifices to get a piece I'm running after for a long, very long time. I wrote this review in September 2010, and lost...

Between writing this review, one year ago, and posting it, I sold the Heuer to fund another holy monster I'm running after. But with a bit of luck, I will go for it, once again. It al depends on what I will do with my Speedie. Best, Horo. Nicolas

. . . or, perhaps, both, in good time ;-) . . . The dials of these Heuers strike a balance between complexity and austerity . . . not so complex as to be illegible, yet enough detail to capture the imagination. The rough texture of the case adds to the ch...

...chronograph fan, but those have always piqued my interest. I have to ask, why has the case been refinished, it does seem a bit of a shame (unless it was really scratched/ dinged up)

From what I can see from the photos, the beadblasting on is 1) 'deeper'/'fresher' than the other examples and 2) inside the little ding at 4.30 on the case. ???

Don't you think Heuer has very distinct DNA from it's modern form? Nice piece here. Would love to see Tag Heuer start on their vintage re-editions and update their range to include more quality no frills designs- their modern Mercedez Benz chrono is reall... 

I find the V 4 rather interesting, and I have a lot of love for a watch I had, the 1964 / 2004 Carrera Re edition... Which I stupidly sold some 5 years ago. Damn me! Now, when it comes to Vintage, I'm like you, Cookies... My wish list is not too long, but... 

It's currently "on the block" (I believe that it was already gone). Great movement (same as the Omega 861, I believe) but the build quality is not up to the movement. I keep only the pics. Cheers

I have a "Heuer" itch. I like Heuer but my wrist don't. Never had one for more than one month. Maybe is a JLC/Omega(non ETA)/Zenith (El Primero) conspiracy. Every time I "board" a Heuer, something with more power shows up. The Heuer is always sold/traded ... 

And what you described is what I felt with the Monaco. A super watch to look at, in pictures, but once on the wrist... Badaboum... No Go. But some of their Vintage watches are really excellent. I'm thinking about an old Carrera, a round one, black dial, 2... 

they are very comfortable and readily available. i had this model, which i believe is the first model, several years ago when they were affordable. i also had the complete workshop manual for it in German which didnt go with the watch when it went to auct... 

I am not a big fan of Bund straps... I tried many times, and was not convinced by the won part of the strap, the part which goes un der the case back... But on a Nato, I didn't find anything better. I sold it, actually, some months ago, but I'm pretty sur...
