In my opinion, that's the maximum for you
Hi John,
For comparison I have a relatively large wrist at 7 3/8" diameter, but I like the watches to fit snugly in-between the bones.
That means a watch with a "bulge" in the case on the back fits me better than one that is flat across the back.
From my experience, I have purchased larger 42-45mm watches which languish in my case, and eventually get sold.
My largest that I am happy with is the GST Perpetual which is about 44 x 14.5 - but the back fits me.
Whereas the sub-40mm watches fit my wrist fine and I tend to wear them more often. So for me 40-41 is on the upper end of what I buy now.
Your wrist looks smaller and this watch looks about the limit (to me).
I think LF watches, the ones I've tried, fit well. I can't speak from personal experience about the FPJ you mention, but I liked my 38 CS better than the 40.
I hope this is helpful.
Mike
