The date disc sits way too deep for my liking on the blue date but the tiger eye looks lovely and a very photogenic watch, that would be my choice.

They were extremely difficult to arrange a meeting with in Geneva even with the help of Bucherer (I assume this will be one of their main ADs). To the point that I decided not to pursue it. Not the best way to relaunch the brand, if you ask me.

I imagine they only have very early prototypes and are not willing to show them to much to the public. But I might be wrong. Best, Emmanuel

It's got a chromed case and a steel back. Wish it were all steel, but the dial was so good I jumped at it. Amazing balance and aesthetics, and quite large -- about 38mm.

Also, my personal favourites would rather be one of these... credit: Pascal Karp (1-2), Analog shift (3), Herando (4-8) & shucktheoyster (9) ...

The Compax is for sure a stunner! I am wondering who the target audience might me for the Disco Volante and the Cabriolet… 🙈🤷🏼‍♂️

Is the decision to not just copy the past but evolve it on the movement side of the Polerouter. It would have been easy to refresh the Microtor, especially as the brand was the key innovator (but not the first) to make one. Instead they chose the more lab... 

Relaunching a brand with 3 entirely new movements (one rectangular hand wound and 2 automatic with 3/4 rotor) deserves praise. Best, Emmanuel

even though some reactions above to these live photos show that true collectors of vintage UG models have little interest, or even no appreciation, for this relaunch.

Perhaps Kern was the worrying element for them 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not a huge fan of UG, but the Nina has been on my radar as a potential watch to mingle with all the Daytonas on the wrist of my fellow amateur racing drivers. The design, the movement, the materials, indeed the whole watch has all the potential to be 'leg... 

And I personally feel more attracted to other less "iconic" models, the Cabriolet, in particular. Best, Emmanuel
