It all depends...
If I may use an automotive analogy, it depends on whether you prefer a Ferrari or Rolls Royce. One demands to be driven at "maximum attack", the other invites you to take your time... "2 opposite trends" but no contradiction; I think most would agree the solution is to have both in the garage!
