Jack Forster's Resignation Announcement

Dear PuristS,

It is with a very reluctant hand and a heavy heart that we announce - Jack Forster has accepted a full time (position) as a professional journalist and resigns from moderatorship of our HoMe forum - from 1st May 2007.
Needless to say, this was an extraordinarily difficult decision for Jack to make. Personal circumstances dictate this career change for the sake of his family; he can quit teaching and work from home.

Jack Forster:
"I won't belabor the point but after four years with the PuristS as enthusiastic participant and administrator, to say that making this decision was hard, is to say nothing at all. I would like to express my thanks to the community for your support during my moderatorship."

Thomas Mao:
"On behalf of the Team and all PuristS, I would like to tender our Collective gratitude to Jack for his enthusiastic and witty participation on the Boards and especially his sterling moderatorship of various fora over the years - Horological Meanderings (HoMe), Salon des Belles Lettres et des Beaux Arts, Pen and Writing Instruments and Blancpain. We will miss his convoluted and acerbic aphorisms; that a moderator is allowed to use and that a forumner is privileged to read.
