I’m coming around more and more to the simplicity of just picking a side. It’s something I’ve always been opposed to, preferring to be broad and more varied and not concentrating on a single person, name, brand.
But, I think the time has come to narrow the focus.
Note, I never had “my AD”, I never understood the utility. Rather I moved between ADs from time to time based on what they could provide me. I am the customer after all. So the AD dynamic was never something I needed to consider having spent 30+ of collecting without a dedicated one.
So back to you. Buy the upcoming M.A.D. to add to the siblings you already have and then if you really think you can align with MB&F and Max, and believe in what they are doing and how they treat their people, then go with it.
The Sequential is a beast, it fits your need. And there is enough variety in the Horological Machines to keep a collector engaged and enjoying life for eternity. It does see like a good pairing for you.

Honestly speaking, I think that watchmaking is NOT just polishing, there must be more. Design, complications, innovations. I recognise the craftsmanship but I think that those super finished time only add nothing but hype
That's what so great about horology in 2026. We have MANY choices. Now that Ye Ol' 1900s are passed... you can get a $500 tourbillion with little decoration. Panerai makes products complications / little decoration, and they sell ~50,000 watches a year
Even TAG Heuer is doing technical horology as they enter F1 sponsorship. Technical horology is very interesting... but, for me, it has no soul. Super grand complications are nice, tho be aware of how some brands/types are fragile and service costs / wait ...

Horological machines and legacy machines are the best examples, another player is obviously Urwerk. Trying to walk different paths and saving a lot of money, you could have a look at Jiro Katayama aka Otsuka Lotec or Behrens.
I love my AD
and continue to get Rolex and independents from them including Roger Smith and Krayon. I also buy direct from Simon Brette, Kari Voutilainen, Sylvain Pinaud, Dann Phimphrachanh and Petermann Bedat. I don't see them as mutually exclusive. I think it's a go...
Ichiran, that's basically what we've been doing for over a decade (when we moved from one State to another). But recently, it seems they expanded, got fancier..... and lost the plot.
