Horological Meandering

Beginning of this new year, the white and black models of the LINDE WERDELIN pieces landed in Singapore - The White Watch and the Hard Black II. Below are some quick snapshots of the two models .... Starting with the The White Watch from the 3 Timer Colle...  

I could see wearing the white dial but not on the white strap. BTW, isn't filling the hex nuts with white paint a little odd? If I am not mistaken, the hex nuts are functional and have to be removed to change the strap. I would think that with one strap c... 

That's a good question about the possibility of paint chip in the hex-nut. Will check if the ADs have spares to anticipate the issue. Thanks DSD. Kong

First, DSD brings up a good point.... but to return to the initial question, yes i'd wear it, but only in tropical/mediterranean situations (southern italy?)...... At first I was not fond of LW, but they really are growing on me. I could see them as part ...

in an era where brands are going back to their roots polishing some of their iconic watches and putting it in production again " a limited run of watches in majority of cases " which help strengthin the identity or an image of a certain brand ... infront ... 

for your POV. I feel LW's 'finger print' is the case-shape with the facets and sharp edges. Agreeable, just changing colour will reach saturation point fast. Kong

one can argue that there are alot of buyers of Pams , APs etc are also buying them as fashionable items. and i have no issues with tht. i havebought watches basis of fashion the its horological merits as well. but i believe i have a good balance fro watch...

... but not with the white strap. Give it a tan strap, or a black rubber one, and you have a perfect sports watch with white dial. Why should a white dial alone transform a watch into a ladies' timepiece? Regards, Marcus
