This came to my mind.
What do you think of focussing on start ups?
For reasonable prices new talents want to find new public for their creations.
Do not pin me on, i’d never bought a watch from a start up.

Timex is not a start-up, it's been in the watch biz for a long time. But they haven't always sought to make watches for collectors like us. ...
Check out the automatics
I’m sure you seen them? If not I’ve heard good things about them. I believe they use to have a higher end line called TX? But most were overpriced I remember there being Perpetual Calendars, World Timers and Chronograph.
Bulova
More upwards, Bulova moves a bit narrower to us collectors. Timex, i know it is more something a North American watch.
