As a craftsman I obviously value craftsmanship but still a beautifully rendered surface is a beautifully rendered surface. The knowledge that it got that way by the hand of an experienced craftsman is often the cherry on the cake. But sometimes the cake is still as delicious without the cherry.

And to be fair to FM, they are not alone in this as I see stamped dials everywhere with the same reference. I h think it’s a fair argument to set forth that stamping is not engraving (the origin of the word implies engraving) and so these dials should not...

I always had and still have a soft spot for the brand.
Like you said i think if they can figure out how to turn their marketing and designs back for the good then they can be more popular again. Still a big fan of the older models
