Horological Meandering

One can only hope...

The selection of new and interesting watches or even watches without bling that are under 39mm is very limited.    I keep trying the bigger ones on, but when the lugs hang over the side of my wrist and I have to cinch the strap to keep the watch straight, it is simply too uncomfortable.

In the US, few men wear suits for work anymore, other than bankers and lawyers.   Therefore the large watches fit right in with casual work clothes and open cuffs.   Although I personally don't wear large watches  I know plenty of girls who do.   And sometimes I forget that when I first started buying watches a 34 mm looked huge to me.

I guess I'll just have to save up my pennies (or win the lottery) and try to interest an independent watchmaker in accepting the challenge of making a smaller but complex watch.  smile
