One macro as a start...
I'm really no expert, but I do like my PSM Shimoda quite a bit. That said, it is possible to see minor imperfections in the enamel dial, including a dark fleck or two not visible in this photo:
For someone who wants a really simple watch, the Shimoda might take the cake! Available in steel, and neither a date nor anything else except a single hand.
